“Sir Emérito” Heroica´s Award Winning film

Ending 2020, Heroica started producing a short film called “Sir Emérito Azofeifa”. The film tells the life of Emérito, a loving father and hardworking husband, who joyfully and optimistically fights to support his family amidst the complexities of the pandemic. The production received 7 awards at two international festivals. It was showcased at the Christian Film Festival (CFF) and Cannes World Film Festival (CWFF), where it was well-received by judges and audiences. Sir Emérito Azofeifa won the award for Best Short Film at CFF, as well as Best Female Actress for Carol Ledezma, Best Child Actress for Ángela Solís, and Best Actor for Alfredo Vargas. The film also won the Best Inspirational Short Film award at CWFF. Pablo Solís (Director) expressed happiness that not only the short film, but also the people involved in its production, received recognition. He hopes that San Carlos will continue to trust in their ability to create powerful and entertaining stories, and that support for this kind of art will grow.
